Safeway 43.98 spent, 53.72 saved!
yep...less than $45 for:
- 10 boxes assorted cereals
- 2 cans pineapple chunks
- 1 can tuna
- 1 lb. of strawberries
- 1 large tub of Country Crock
- 1 large box instant rice
- Oyster Sauce
- Lo Mein noodles
- 1 box penne
- 1 box manicotti
- 1 dozen eggs
- pork (just enough to try a new recipe)
- 8 lbs. ground beef
- 2 lb. bananas
- 1/2 lb. zucchini
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 and 1/2 lb. red potatoes
- 1/2 lb. broccoli
- a handful of celery sticks
- and a small scoop of cashews (for the pork)
That's a savings of 55% on almost everything I'll need for the next two weeks, or until we need to run back for milk and bread. We got 10 boxes of cereal, taking advantage of the mix and match (save $5 instantly) promo and a veriety of Kelloggs coupons. Altogether they cost about $8, an awesome bargain considering the husband eats at least 2 bowls of cereal a day! I may actually go back and buy some more before the deal is over. We also used one of those free strawberries coupons. You can find a variety of Kelloggs coupons on their website
by clicking here. The coupons are a bit of a hassle as they each print on separate pages and have full page ads (what an ink waster!) so it's really only worth it if you or someone you know likes that kind of cereal. Like always, you can print each coupon twice- just remember that you have to buy 5 participating cereal to get the $5 instant off!
