Eat From your pantry challenge is over!

Okay, so the month doesn't officially end until tomorrow, but with the rumor of Albies doublers and Safeway's FREE pasta dinner coupons coming in tomorrow's paper (with $50 minimum purchase)- you can bet I'll be headed out to do some shopping! We did start early with out challenge, and I have to admit that I'm very happily surprised to see how much food we have left. Want to see for yourself? It's messy, but this is what I have left:
These are the two cabinets in the house where the opened packages are kept.
My fridge looks so empty!
The stockpile in the back room is still looking good though:

(The Luv's box is full of nuts: mostly peanuts and some pistachios.)
I even have some meat leftover in the freezer!
It was such a fun challange to participate in this month! I'm looking forward to doing it again in the future now that I know how easily we can survive off our stockpile.

  1. Wow! Thanks for all the pictures! Looks like you still have a lot of things left! :)

Do you freeze your creamer? I didn't know you could do that. We tend to use ours before the long expiration date.

  2. Jane, yes I freeze creamer. I rarely use it, so I only buy it when it's free. I shake it well after defrosting and don't notice a difference in quality.

  3. Wow, very impressed. You have more food stockpiled than I do, I didn't even participate in the challenge! You even have more food in your fridge, and I went over my spending budget this month. Great job!

  4. Im really suprised at how much food we have left over as well, even with modified shopping trips. This was a fun challenge, I think we will be doing it again in July or so, just to keep things tidy :)
