The last batch of grocery shopping for January!

Okay, so I didn't do so great with my original rules for the Eating From Your Pantry Challenge, but you know what? I still cut my shopping like crazy, we've been eating from our pantry for almost a month, and I'm feeling great about it! We spent a grand total of $72.05 on groceries for the month, and saved $135.98! Here's what I bought this week:

QFC: $16.29 spent, $22.27 saved (57%)
I used a FREE item coupon for the chips, and besides the clearanced Sardines and $0.57/lb bananas, everything was highlighted in my coupon matchup for QFC this week. The cheese was on sale for $5.99 (yikes!) but we were out and I figured I may as well grab it now. (Those who are extremely local might want to check out QFC if they're looking for tuna in cans or pouches- out store had TONS of the stuff marked down.)

Safeway: $7.52 spent, $21.96 saved (74%)
PLUS I got back $7.50 in catalinas!
I did use my $2.50 in catalinas from earlier this week to help pay, so in reality everything pictured above had a net cost of $2.52. The fruit snacks were a small moneymaker, as was the Fiber One Yogurt. The cream cheese was FREE, milk was $1.99, and eggs were $1.59. Still, it works for me! Now, I just need to find a good cheesecake recipe- we're going to celebrate making it to the end of the month and sticking with this challenge!

  1. If you are still looking for a good cheesecake recipe you should try this blueberry cheesecake recipe from Taste of Home. I recently made it for my husband's birthday, and we both absolutely loved it.
