Albies: $21.62 spent, $60.22 saved, and $20 in catalinas earned!
PLUS, I bought 2 copies of the Sunday paper! I did start out with $5 in catalinas, so really everything pictured above (plus $4 in newspaper) had a "net cost" of $6.62. I bought 16 cans of Campbell's condensed soup for $0.25 each after coupons and doublers ($1/4 printable here). I used this $1/4 printable and doublers to turn the juice into a small moneymaker. The Jose Ole Chimichangas were $1 each and qualified for the CHILL promo- making them FREE after catalina. There are no tags on the individual chimi's in store, making this kind of a risky deal (if the catalina doesn't print- you're on your own with no proof it should have worked) but I'm thrilled to have something easy on hand for the husband to grab for lunch! The deal worked perfectly for me, so I bought 32 between the two stores I shopped. Note: after reading a few other blogs, it looks like this may not be working everywhere.
Great Job Maygan! I'm bummed I tested the chimi deal out at one of our local Albies last night and it didn't work. Oh well, like you said, its nice to have something on hand my husband will enjoy for a quick lunch!
ReplyDeletethanks! I saw your post and it looked like you bought the right ones, so it's odd that yours didn't print.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your blog. It helps me save money and is teaching me how to use coupons with maximum results. Now my 80 my year old mother is asking me if I have my coupons when I take her to the store! She has never been a Couponista before!
ReplyDeleteMaygan, I am tempted to try the chimis too, I guess I'd need to do that by tonight. Just in case I don't get the catalina, I am wondering if you've tried them. Are they good?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your timely posts that save the rest of us our greenbacks!! :)
Jane
Jane- the sale on chimis actually goes into next month and the CHILL deal is until the end of this month, so there might still be time. I have tried the chicken and while it's not healthy, the cheese gets deliciously melty. The chicken is in cubes though, so it's a little bit strange (chunky) to eat. I've heard the beef is shredded and also pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback Maygan. I think my hubby would like these, especially if it means dinner or no dinner after the baby comes. :) I'm trying to prepare things ahead of time and I have people that want to bring us meals, but it will be nice to have other quick things on hand.
