Shopping for string cheese!

Safeway: $0.39 spent, $51.00 saved (99%)
Both the husband and the toddler LOVE string cheese so I am thrilled with this trip. A wonderful fellow (online) couponer was kind enough to offer the coupons. I bought 10 Precious sting cheese (at $1.99 each wyb 2) and used one $2 peelie and nine $1 coupons. I paid using a $10 catalina. I put two in the fridge and the rest in the freezer, as I've heard they freeze wonderfully.

I also stopped by Rite Aid on the way home and grabbed 2 Cover Girl Mineral Blushes (reg. $8.19 each) for only $0.70 in tax. I've been out of blush for a while so that was a perfect deal this week!

  1. Hi Maygan, I have a Safeway question. How do they handle coupons when there is overage? I have $1/1 Marie's salad dressing and with the sale there would be 1¢ overage. Thanks!

  2. Kim, I believe the sale makes the Marie's dressing $1, so it shouldn't be overage but I haven't seen my ad so I can't say for sure. Either way since the price is above $1 each (before the discount for buying 5) your coupons should go through beeplessly. HTH!

  3. If you're feeling nervous about it I would either look for a friendly cashier or else wait to scan my club card until the very end of the transaction.

  4. Thanks, I think I read the ad wrong. I also get confused about their policies because I haven't been shopping there much. I appreciate your quick response! BTW, nice job on the cheese!!!
