Did you notice the Safeway ad had a special page with FREE item coupons in yesterday's paper? Each coupon is valid for one day only with a $20 purchase (this is usually before manufacturer coupons). Some of these items are things you can usually get for cheap, so I really wouldn't recommend running out and trying to buy $20 worth of stuff everyday- but if there was something you were planning to buy on the list you might as well do your shopping that day and get it free. I need to buy a roast for Christmas Eve and a couple of other things so I'll probably go for either the potatoes or the lit'l smokies.

You can print the coupons here if you need to, but they should also have these flyers in store (by Customer Service) if you want to save your ink. Of course, remember to keep your eyes on the register as you check out. A lot of the Safeway store coupons for free items tend to ring up wrong (at -0.01 instead of the full price) so you'll want to be sure to have your checker adjust that if it happens to you!
